There’s a dense, blissful beginning to ‘Fever Drawings’ followed by multi-layered percussion grooves and drum programming, all collapsing into haunting electronics and big beat synthlines just to leave you lost with smooth house loops, jazz miniatures, tripping click’n’cuts and mesmerising drones – and we’re just halfway through here.

Peter Prautzsch manages to drift along the ranks and cracks of musical ideas with ease and with distinct attitude. All of these songs are properly composed, you can tell by way the structures, sounds and rhythm-patterns interweave. Considering Peter Prautzschs past repertoire of rather slow ambient releases the new ‘Fever Drawings’ may come as a surprise.

These 11 tracks won’t unfold into a picturesque story. There are no outlines to this album. It’s a colorful, vibrant mess, a valiant artistic approach to the wilderness of electronic music.
